As of April 28, 2025, a consultant has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Question Due Date: May 3, 2024 5:00 p.m. A mandatory pre-proposal conference and site visit for potential Request for Proposal (RFP) participants for the purpose of reviewing and answering questions regarding this project. SacSewer will only accept submitted proposals from entities who attended. The Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is a sewage collection, treatment, and resource recovery utility providing service to more than 1.6 million people in a 386 squaremile service area in the Sacramento region. SacSewer's service area includes the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County, and the cities of Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Folsom, Sacramento, and West Sacramento. The objective of this phase is to conduct a conceptual design assessment of the existing fire protection system, including the halon system, and to develop and evaluate alternative design concepts for upgrading or replacing the system. The consultant will identify at least two but not more than five feasible design alternatives that meet the project objectives and the fire code regulatory requirements. The consultant will also provide a preliminary cost estimate for each alternative, as well as a qualitative analysis of their advantages and disadvantages. The consultant will document the results of this phase in a conceptual design report that will include a recommendation for the preferred design alternative based on the Page 7 of 17 evaluation criteria agreed upon by SacSewer and the consultant.
