Such bids are to design, permit and construct a post frame storage building at the City of Brookings Regional Landfill, located at 4101 30 th Street, Brookings, SD 57006. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, such check to be certified or issued by either a State or National Bank, and payable to the City of Brookings, South Dakota, or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids. Specifications and bidding blanks may be inspected and procured at the office of the Brookings Regional Landfill, 4101 30 th Street, Brookings, SD 57006 or online at www.cityofbrookings-sd.gov. Bidders may contact the Landfill at (605) 693-3667 with questions or to be placed on the Planholders List. Bidders shall check the City website for Addendums. 1. Contractor shall design and build an 80ft x 120ft simple saver insulated post frame storage building. 2. Building design shall be in compliance with all local codes, including wind loads and snow loads. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for all required permits and inspections. 4. Building shall include the following features: a. 2 - 20ft x 18ft insulated overhead panel doors with industrial grade, powered operators with remotes and manual bypass b. 6 - 12ft x 12ft insulated overhead panel doors with industrial grade, powered operators with remotes and manual bypass c. 2 - Standard size walk through doors, one on each end of building with locking deadbolts d. Adequate gutters and downspouts e. Adequate LED lighting throughout building, motion sensitive with a switch f. 80ft x 160ft - 12” Compacted and rolled gravel floor g. 1 - 200 amp, 240V, Single - Phase electrical subpanel 5. Note: The 6 - 12ft x 12ft doors shall be aligned to create 3 drive-thru bays.
