The City of Bristol is accepting bids for replacement of fire alarm panel and associated equipment at Edgewood Pre-K Academy, 345 Mix Street, Bristol Connecticut. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. This project pertains to a project funded under the American Rescue Plan Act, Pub. L. No. 117-2 (March 11, 2021) and is subject to requirements set forth in the American Rescue Plan Act ("ARPA"). The awarded contractor will be responsible to follow and provide all requirements set by the United States Treasury's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ("SLFRF"). Prospective bidders shall examine the "Instruction to Bidders" and "Supplementary Instructions to Bidders" and shall comply and conform strictly with the conditions and instructions contained therein. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. Bids must be firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days following the bid opening. The Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. Project scope includes multiple mechanical and electrical improvements throught the existing Bristol Police Department facility, including the following: Work Of Project- Removal of the existing steam boilers and steam system and installation of new High Efficiency hot water boilers, and associated pumps, new hydronic hot water piping distribution and controls, new hot water unit heaters. Replacement of the existing air handing systems and return fans serving the facility. Replacement of the existing general and toilet exhaust fans on the roof of the facility New dedicated parking garage air handing system New split air cooled chiller system Minor ductwork modifications throughout the building Electrical gear upgrade/replacement Emergency Lighting and Exit sign upgrade and replacement
