Site work for a power facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.
In general, the work consists of: This is an approximately 175' high octagonal brick chimney. The work will be exterior masonry repairs consisting of tuckpointing 1,000ft of deteriorated masonry joints and replacing approximately 100 brick units. This work will be done for the full height of the chimney. The existing concrete cap will be replaced. The lightning protection system will be inspected and the faulty components replaced. The steel bands and platform will be repainted and caulked. The full exterior will have a siloxane waterproofing applied. An inspection will be performed of the interior and exterior, full height. There are existing vents in the chimney (2 1/2 " x 2") that have a mesh screen covering them which will be replaced in this project. All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
