**As of May 21, 2024 project was awarded to Asphalt Paving Systems, awarded amount is $914,670.40.** The project includes the resurfacing and associated work within the right-of-way of 3 roads in Upson County for a total of 5.98 miles of resurfacing. The 13 roads to be resurfaced are as follows: Adams Ferry Road (2.24 mi), John B. Gordon (3.34 mi), and River Bend Road (0.4 mi). All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition. Contractor shall maintain the following insurance (a) comprehensive general liability, including blanket contractual, covering bodily injuries with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, and property damage with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence; and (b) commercial automobile liability, including blanket contractual, covering bodily injuries with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, and property damage with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per accident (c) statutory worker's compensation insurance, including $1,000,000 employer's liability insurance (d) employee dishonesty and/or crimes coverage with respect to personnel of Contractor having access to County buildings, with limits of no less than $50,000 per occurrence. Upson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder whom Owner believes would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
