Site work for a water / sewer project in Brooksville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of the project includes the replacement of the following water lines with new ANSI/AWWA C900/HDPE lines, utilizing directional boring methods for installation. 1. Replace the existing 1-inch water line from the current hydrant along Mondon Hill Rd. to the west side of Markham Lane with a 6-inch ANSI/AWWA C900/HDPE fused line (approximately 460 feet). 2. Reconnect all existing services to the new line. 3. Install a fire hydrant (American Darling) with a shut-off valve and an isolation valve at the northwest corner of Markham Lane and Mondon Hill Rd. 4. Replace existing water lines along Markham Lane (various sizes) with a 4-inch ANSI/AWWA C900/HDPE fused line (approximately 1000 feet). 5. Replace all service lines with 1-inch polyethylene (poly) pipe, CTS size from the new line to the meters. 6. Install a 4-inch gate valve at the junction where a 4-inch line connects to a 6-inch line at Mondon Hill Rd. 7. Install a 2-inch blow-off at the end of the 4-inch line on Markham Lane A Bid Bond, cashier's check, or certified check, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Brooksville shall accompany each bid A Performance Bond, in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the bid, shall be required of the successful Proposer/Contractor to ensure satisfactory completion of the work A Payment Bond, in the amount of 100 percent (100% )of the bid, shall be required of the successful Proposer/Contractor to guarantee payment of all persons who have and fulfill contracts with the Proposer/Contractor for performing labor or providing equipment or material in the performance of the work provided for in the contract Question Submission Deadline: Tuesday, December 3 , 2024 @ 5:00 PM Questions must be submitted via: BidNetDirect or procurement@cityofbrooksville.us Bids may be rejected for noncompliance to requirements after review by the City. The City of Brooksville reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to waive any irregularities or informalities. Requirements 1. The contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements and material specifications before the commencement of work. 2. Directional boring will be used for pipe installation where applicable. 3. The contractor is responsible for Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and securing necessary right of-way use permits in adherence to Hernando County standards. Cost Breakdown The bid proposal should include a detailed breakdown of costs for all materials and labor, including but not limited to the following components: Article III. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND CONDITIONS o Water line materials (6-inch ANSI/AWWA C900/HDPE, 4-inch ANSI/AWWA C900/HDPE, 1 inch polyethylene (poly) pipe, CTS size) o Valves, blow-offs, and service connections o Directional boring costs o Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) measures and associated permit costs
