Renovation of an educational facility in Westford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, providing removal and install of new rooftop unit, reconnection of all utilities, ductwork, and commissioning. Each Bidder shall be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAMM) for the category of work and dollar amount of the Project. Rooftop Replacement Unit - Electrical Shop The successful Bidder shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend the District, its agents, employees, officers, and volunteers from and against any and all liabilities, claims penalties, fines, forfeitures, suits, administrative proceedings, and the costs and expenses incident hereto (including costs of defense, settlement, and reasonable attorney's fees) which may be alleged against the District, or which the District may incur, become responsible for, or pay out as a result of death or bodily injury to any person, destruction or damage to any property, contamination of or adverse effects on the environment, or any violation or alleged violation of government laws, regulations or orders caused by or resulting from the negligent acts or omission of the successful Bidder or of any employee, agent, or subcontractor of the successful Bidder. ARTICLE 14 Description of Work Each Bidder shall carefully examine the site and the information available to provide the services and all conditions which may affect proper execution of this agreement. The purpose of this agreement is to provide the District with services and products as detailed in these specifications in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, laws, and regulations. No claims for additional costs will be allowed because of lack of knowledge of the existing conditions. Bids shall include all services and all other costs to complete this agreement as specified herein. Furnish and Install a new Rooftop HVAC system: Rated tons of cooling for the unit: 14 total / 12 sensible tons Heat output & BTU's: 83.4 MBH heat pump heating at 12F Secondary heating: 300 CFH input, 240 MBH output gas furnace Minimum EER rating: EER 10.7 IEER 16.4 A. Contractor to remove existing furnace from the roof B. Contractor to make any alterations to the existing curb if needed. C. Any penetrations to roofing must be done by Carlisle-certified roofers (roof is under warranty.) D. Install a 120v GFCI weatherproof receptacle at the unit. This receptacle can be separate or integrated with the unit. E. Mount a 120v GFCI weatherproof light fixture at the unit. F. Install Power and Control wiring. G. Reconnect to existing gas line. H. Paint all exposed gas lines gray. Label gas lines. I. Install inline smoke detector and CO detector. Both shall shut down the unit if activated. Smoke detector to report to the Fire Alarm panel. CO detector to report back to DDC system. J. Contractor to provide all controls (e.g. thermostat) to operate with the existing DDC system. K. Unit shall be installed with a permanent plate labeled as "HV #10" L. Demo partial existing ductwork and reconnect new Unit. M. Fabricate additional ductwork per HVAC specification and drawings M000, M101, M102. N. Add new ductwork as needed. Ductwork to be insulated. O. Insulate existing supply trunkline. P. Supply new Diffusers. Q. Start Up and Test the new unit. R. Unit MUST be compatible, connected and configured to work with the existing DDC control system. General 1. Contractor responsible for any and all permits 2. Contractor shall be responsible for all field measurements. 3. Contractor to remove any and all debris including the old heating unit 4. Roof membrane must be protected at all times during removal or existing unit and during installation of new unit. Neither the old nor new unit may be dragged across the roof. 5. Contractor to deliver two (2) complete sets of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals. 6. All work including parts and labor shall be fully guaranteed for a period of one (1) year. 7. Compressor shall be warranted for five (5) years.
