The Peoria Park District is seeking quotes for the 2024 Pool Chemicals. Business will be awarded to the vendor(s) meeting specifications and offering the lowest cost per item. Quantities are for bidding purposes only and may not represent the actual quantities ordered. The Peoria Park District reserves the right to adjust quantities ordered, at bid price, depending on need. Each bidder must bid unit prices and extend totals. In case of an error in extension, the unit prices shall govern. No erasures are permitted. Mistakes must be crossed out and corrections typewritten or written in ink adjacent thereto and initialed in ink by the party signing the bid or his/her authorized representative. No separate charges will be allowed. Prices quoted are F.O.B. to our facilities and are understood to be guaranteed for the contract period of April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. Bulk Chlorine for Gwynn Family Aquatics Center must be pumped from vendor's truck to our 500- gallon holding tank. The distance is approximately 80 feet. Vendor must provide all equipment necessary for the safe transfer in accordance with all local and state regulations. PH Down Low must be pumped from vendor's truck to our 250-gallon holding tank. The distance is approximately 80 feet. Vendor must provide all equipment necessary for the safe transfer in accordance with all local and state regulations. Liquid chlorine must be pumped from vendor's truck at the RiverPlex. Driver is responsible for the safe transport of the liquid chlorine into the 260 gallon holding tanks in the AquaPlex storage room. Vendor must provide all equipment necessary for the safe transfer in accordance with all local and state regulations. Liquid chlorine and PH Down Low must be pumped from vendor's truck to the holding tanks at the Greater Peoria Family YMCA. The distance is approximately 50 feet. Vendor must provide all equipment necessary for the safe transfer in accordance with all local and state regulations. Chlorine must test at 12% chlorine concentration using a Taylor Test Kit. Product that does not meet this minimum will be refused and must be redelivered within 24 hours. Past performance will be considered in evaluation of products. The Park District reserves the right to select goods that best meet the needs of the District. Product delivered where containers show evidence of leaking, seepage or tearing will be refused and must be redelivered within 24 hours. Any damages caused by defective containers shall be at the Vendors expense to remedy. Participation Goals - Bidder agrees to meet the Peoria Park District's minority participation goals. Lowest responsible bidder not meeting the Park District's goal of 12% for minority / women participation, must provide proof of efforts made in contacting an adequate number of minority and women owned firms and/or labor. The Peoria Park District is an AA/EEO organization and encourages participation by minority and female-owned firms. The Board of Trustees of the Peoria Park District (hereinafter "Board") reserves, without limitation, the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder. The Board reserves, without limitation, the right to accept or reject all incomplete, non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, obscure, or conditional bids, or bids which contain additions not called for, erasures, alterations, or irregularities of any kind, or which do not comply with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder if the Board believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Park District to make an award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Park District. The Board further reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non-responsible. Document note: Addenda to the Bid Package - Any changes, additions or deletions to the bid documents will be issued in the form of a written addendum issued by the Purchasing Department of the Peoria Park District and will be distributed to all bidders via fax and/or email with return receipt request. Contact with all other park district staff is strictly prohibited during the bid process. Any vendor who desires a site visit for the purpose of inspecting buildings and/or equipment must schedule such visit with the Purchasing Supervisor.
