Renovation of a residential development in Jena, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
HVAC Replacement Project for the Jena Housing Authority. Location- 1032 Tarver Ave., #9 Jena, Louisiana 71342 This Project With a Major Classification as Building Construction or Air Conditioning Work, Ventilation, Refrigeration, and Duct Work. Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and in general includes the following: Install new HVAC units including inside unit and outside condensing unit at existing dwelling units. The Base Bid work includes work at 21 units on Tarver Ave. Alternate Bids include HVAC replacement at four (4) additional dwelling units on Tarver Ave.. These items are further described in the drawings and specifications. Bid Security Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid Shall Be in the Form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check as Prescribed by La Rs 38:2218.a, Must Be Attached to and Made a Part of the Bid. If a Bid Bond is Provided It Shall Be on the Provided Form and Only on the Provided Form. Bid Bonds Must Be Written by a Qualified Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance and Payment Bond Written by a Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana in an Amount Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. For This Project, Liquidated Damages Will Apply in the Amount of Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Per Day for Each Consecutive Calendar Day Which the Work is Not Completed, Beginning With the First Day Beyond the Established Completion Date. Attention is Called to the Provisions of the Davis-bacon Act for Local Prevailing Wage Rates, and Payment of Not Less Than the Minimum Salaries, Wages and Benefits as Set Forth in the Specifications Must Be Paid on This Project. The Jena Housing Authority Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids. The Housing Authority Shall Incur No Obligation to the Contractor Until the Contract Between Owner and Contractor is Fully Executed. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date. Attention is called to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act for local prevailing wage rates, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries, wages and benefits as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this project. Document note: Subcontractors may obtain Construction Documents and receive h of deposit back under the conditions outlined above. Bidding documents will be available.
