Lump sum Deadline for Questions - April 10th, 2024 @ 10:00 a.m. The Scope of the Welding Shop Cladding Upgrades Work at the Existing Campus Generally Includes, but is Not Necessarily Limited to, the Following:
.1 Installation of All Engineered Shoring and Temporary Bracing Required to Protect Existing Structure During Removals and Alterations, Until Permanent Supports, Lintels and the Like Are in Place;
2 Localized Sequential Demolition, Removals and Alterations to Existing Building, Including Removal of Existing Face Brick Cladding and Cavity Wall Insulation as Indicated on Drawings and/or Specified, and to Carry Out Alterations to the Existing Building Cladding Systems, Including Reinforcing of Existing Exterior Masonry Walls as Indicated;
.3 Installation of New Masonry Face Brick, Prefinished Metal Wall Panels, Insulation, and Membrane Air Vapour Barrier at Existing Exterior Wall Assemblies, as Detailed, Including New Single Ply Pvc Membrane Flashings at Existing Parapets;
4 Installation of New Insulated Glazed Overhead Door and Electric Operator;
.5 Installation of New Hollow Metal Doors, Frames and Hardware, as Scheduled;
.6 Careful Removal, Salvage, and Reinstatement of Existing Security System Cameras;
.7 Installation of New Exterior Wall Mounted Light Fixture; and
.8 Localized Site Remediation, as Required, to Suit Each bidding General Contractor shall submit, and enclose with its Tender, a Bid Bond issued by an approved Surety Company, authorized to transact the business of suretyship in the Province of Ontario, in favour of the Owner, in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Stipulated Sum Tendered together with an original Agreement to Bond or consent of surety, issued by the same Surety. Performance Bond: 50% of the Stipulated Sum Contract.
