Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Petersburg, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

The scope of the project includes rehabilitating the existing asphalt Taxiways and Main Apron pavement surfaces, milling and paving the Fuel Farm Apron, constructing a concrete fueling pad, and demolition of a concrete slab at the Grant County Airport located near Petersburg, West Virginia. The Taxiways B, C, D, E, F and G will consist of removing the existing airfield pavement markings to prevent shadowing, cleaning the surface of all deleterious material, repairing existing cracks and joints, placing an emulsified asphalt seal coat, and placing the airfield pavement markings. The emulsified asphalt seal coat will be applied in one (1) coat. The Main Apron rehabilitation will consist of removing the existing airfield pavement markings to prevent shadowing, cleaning the surface of all deleterious material, repairing existing cracks and joints, placing a refined coal tar emulsion surface treatment, and placing the airfield pavement markings. The refined coal tar emulsion surface treatment will be applied in two (2) coats. The milling of the FuelFarm Apron will include milling the existing top 2” of the asphalt pavement surface, full depth pavement repair as required, and placing 2” of HMA WVDOT The bid prices shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, Standard General Conditions of the Constructio Contract, Supplemental General Conditions and Detail Specifications and Drawings prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the required provisions will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Grant County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Construction Time Limits - The Contractor will be required to achieve Substantial Completion within 60 calendar days and final completion and readiness for final payment within 90 calendar days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be $400.00 per day for each day after the expiration of the construction time. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Grant County Airport Authority, Petersburg, West Virginia, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid and Additive Alternates.
