Reference Number 0000266702 This Request for Proposal is being issued by Humber to obtain Proposals from Proponent(s) to secure a General Contractor to provide services and management to successfully build-out two (2) new retail tenant spaces within the College at the North Campus. Separate packages are being issued for each tenant as each unit is independent of the other, and they have developed their own design standards and specifications. ATA Architects as base building consultant responsible for the overall area and renovation project, is issuing the drawings. Proponents will be required to submit separate pricing for each tenant space. Humber reserves the right to award the project to one GC for both units, or to split the work between two (2) qualified contractors. Including but Not Limited to: Humber is Seeking a General Contractor (Gc) to Perform All Work as Described in This Scope of Work Document, Project Drawings and Specifications So as to Provide All Services Required to Construct, Install, Test and Deliver a Complete and Operable Facility Within the Anticipated Completion Timeline Defined in the Submission/proposal. The Contractor Shall Also Provide All Adequate and Competent Construction Management, Personnel, Supervision, Staff, Labour, Construction Planning, Scheduling and Documentation in Order to Complete the Work in Accordance With the Standard of Performance Refer to the Attached Project Drawings & Specifications for Scope of Work: Tender Drawings (Including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical & Communications). Specifications Work With Humber and Its Consultants to Execute the Project. Note: Ata Architects Inc., and the Hidi Group Have Been Responsible for the Master Plan of the Area, and the Preparation of the Space for the Retail Tenants. The Have Been Retained Separately to Prepare the Construction Drawings on Behalf of the Tenants. General Contractor to Carry the Cost for Recycling and Waste Management. Recycling Certificates Must Be Submitted to Humber. The Area of Work Will Be Delivered to the Proponent as a Shell With Rough-ins for Plumbing and Electrical Services. The Contractor Will Be Responsible for Putting Up a Poly Dust Barrier to Enclose the Work Area and to Minimise Dust and Debris Migrating Into the General Area. Daily Cleaning of the General Area Outside of the Work Zone Will Be Required. The successful Proponent upon receipt of written notice from Humber awarding the Contract shall provide a Performance Bond and Labour and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the total award, to guarantee the performance of all obligations of the Contract.
