Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Eureka, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.

Final Bid Selections: April 11, 2024 Board of Aldermen Review: April 16, 2024 The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. If you wish to access specifications and submit a response, you must create an account and subscribe to the Request for Proposals option (which is under Bid Postings) to receive any addendum notifications which may be issued. The intent of the following Scopes of Work is to provide a summary level overview of the project scopes identified on the plans and communicate supplemental information. Please note that the categories of work, items noted for specific rooms being improved and the plans should be reviewed for a complete understanding of the project details. Some of the notes and overviews may be duplicative. There are seven (7) types of work associated with this project, of which six (6) are included in the scope being bid: 1. Demolition, excluding electrical and plumbing demolitions, which are to be performed by the selected electrical and plumbing contractors. 2. Electrical. 3. Plumbing. 4. Painting. 5. Epoxy Flooring (and Certain Walls). 6. Rubber Flooring. 7. Carpentry - not included in this project scope. 1. Demolition A. Include removal of the tile from the walls in the locker rooms and shower areas. B. Include demolition of restroom partitions C. Include demolition of all drop ceilings in areas of work. D. Include removal of benches in front of locker room. E. Include demolition of folding partition wall. F. Include all dumpsters and haul-off. G. Include site cleanup. 2. Electrical A. Include all required rework per electrical plans. B. Electrical demolition or making-safe will be required by this subcontractor before demolition can begin. C. Include all permit requirements and costs. D. Dimmers will be Lutron DVSTV-453PH-WH. E. Include 2x2 LED Dimmable Fixtures at all lighting locations (Lithonia CPX2X2ALO7SWW7). F. All new fans are to be Minka Aire F896-84-CL in either white or black, with the City selecng the fan color based on the ceiling color. G. If items have a long lead time of longer than six (6) weeks, please suggest alternates. H. Include all circuits and hardware required for new TVs in the new cardio room. 3. Plumbing A. Include new plumbing including access panels in Locker Room showers. B. Include all permit costs and requirements. C. Include all reworking of piping required for new fixtures. D. Include new toilets and urinals in all restrooms and locker areas. The brand is to be American Standard or City approved equal. E. Include new faucets at all sinks, which are to be American Standard 5500175.002 or City approved equal. 4. Painting A. Include one (1) prime coat and three (3) coats of paint in all areas shown to receive new paint. B. All rooms that are being worked in will require new paint. Paint Specifications: (1) Paint is to have an eggshell sheen. (2) Color will be selected at start of project. Paint color submitals will not be considered until color submitals for major materials not to be painted have been approved. (3) Samples: Submit three (3) paper "draw down" samples, 8 1/2 x 11 inches in size, illustrating range of colors available for each finishing product selected. Following are acceptable brands/types of paint for the three (3) coat system: 1. Sherwin-Williams Promar. 2. PPG Paints. 3. Glidden Professional. 4. Benjamin Moore. 5. Epoxy Flooring (and Certain Walls) A. Includes epoxy flooring in all areas shown on plans and specifications, with color to be selected by the City. B. In all locker rooms and bathrooms include installation of epoxy four (4) feet up the walls, and up to the height of ceiling in shower areas (wall tiles will be removed as part of the demolition scope). C. Shotblast and diamond grind all areas with HEPA atached vacuum system to CSP 3. D. Trowel spoon cove to walls receiving cove. E. Apply Sherwin-Williams RESUFLOR 3760 primer @ 8 - 10 mils. F. Double broadcast 4" cove on all walls receiving cove. G. Apply Body Coat Sherwin-Williams RESUFLOR 3746 @ 12 - 14 mils. H. Broadcast 1/4 inch Vinyl Paint Chip to rejecon (Sherwin-Williams with color to be determined). I. Double scrape and vacuum excess flake. J. Apply 2 Seal Coats Sherwin-Williams RESUFLOR 3746 to cove. K. Apply Seal Coat Sherwin-Williams RESUFLOR 3746 to Floor @ 12 - 14 mils. L. Sand and tack. M. Apply topcoat Sherwin-Williams RESUFLOR 4640 to all areas @ 3 - 5 mils. N. Additional specifications follow. 6. Rubber Flooring A. Include new rubber flooring in upper and lower floor workout areas as shown on plan. Rubber flooring will be three-eighths (3/8) inch thick natural non-recycled rolled rubber with white speckling, with rubber color to be selected by the City. B. Include black rubber cove base in all areas where rubber flooring is installed. C. Dumpsters will be provided, but this scope needs to include site cleanup.
