Site work for a civil project in Everett, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The deck rehabilitation includes removing and replacing an existing overlay with a new polyester concrete overlay on the eastbound lanes of the Viaduct structure as well as minor drainage improvements and bridge deck repair on the westbound lanes. The City of Seattle, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an Award. A/E ESTIMATE: $7,800,000 to $8,200,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. There is no pre-bid site inspection meeting scheduled for this project. : Bidders must understand the requirements of SMC 19.19, RCW 49.46, 29 CFR 5.5 and 40 USC 3141 and demonstrate compliance prior to award. : This Contract has a 13% mandatory goal. Note: City of Seattle Inclusion Plan requirements are not applicable on FHWA funded projects. Work shall begin immediately on the Notice To Proceed Date in the Written Notice from the Engineer and after the date of such notice shall be physically completed within the following period per Section 3 of the Agreement: 39 WORKING DAYS IV. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES If the successful Contractor fails to complete Work within the time set forth above, (s)he shall be charged Liquidated Damages per Section 4 of the Agreement and Section 1-08.9. See Section 1-08.9 for method for determining cost of liquidated damages.
