The District is seeking proposals from experienced, reputable, and qualified Licensed Timber Operators, Tree Service Contractors, and wildland vegetation/forestry maintenance contractors; who wish to enter into one-year, on-call contracts with the District to perform a variety of wildland fuels management and tree removal services in the East Bay Hills. The project areas include sensitive habitats. During the entire project, the protection and preservation of environmentally sensitive areas are of high importance. The Contractor shall avoid adverse impacts to habitat and wildlife. Performance and Labor/Materials Payment Bonds. Each proposal shall include all charges for furnishing a Performance Bond (100% of the total task order) order amount). The successful contractor(s) shall furnish the bonds as described in PARAGRAPH 3(c) below. Prevailing Wages. The Contractor shall pay all workers California prevailing wages for each trade or classification on the job during the term of the Contract. These rates include employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, travel time, subsistence pay and apprenticeship or training. All personnel working on this project are entitled to the prevailing wage as set by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (www.dir.ca.gov). By submission of a proposal: The Contractor agrees to comply with the provisions of Chapter 1, Part 7, Division 2 of the Labor Code. The Contractor and any Subcontractor will pay the general prevailing wage rate and other employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, travel time, and subsistence pay, apprenticeship or other training programs. The responsibility for compliance with these Labor Code requirements is on the Contractor. The East Bay Regional Park District requires the submission of certified payroll records with every invoice.
