You are hereby invited to submit a bid for the removal of the existing carpet, existing base and installation of new carpet tiles and base at Woodland Elementary, in the 4th grade pod. This invitation is for construction companies specializing in flooring installation. The contractor will be responsible for the following: Licencing and Insurance: The contractor shall be licensed and insured to do business in the State of Michigan. A copy of license and insurance shall be provided with bid documents. It is the responsibility of the Contractor that any subcontractor hired by the Contractor is licensed and insured. The Contractor shall pay for all permits required for completion of the work of this contract. 1. Demolition of existing carpet will start June 10 in the pod commons. All carpet and base demolition will be complete June 28, 2024. The schedule is defined for this portion of the project and fines of $1,000 per day occurring as of July 1 , 2024 for not meeting carpet demolition deadline. 2. Removal and disposal of the existing carpeting in room 604,605,606,607,608,609, and 610. 3. Removal and disposal of all base molding within the 4th grade pod commons and all 7 classrooms. 4. Repair of any concrete base prior to carpet tile installation. 5. Installation of new Kinetexs (Urban Avenue , model #1560 zone) carpet tile and new 4" gray base in all 4th grade pod classrooms and pod commons. 6. Installation of carpet tile and base will take place starting July 15, 2024 in the pod commons and will be completed by August 16, 2024. This schedule is defined for this portion of the project and fines of $1,000 per day occurring as of August 19, 2024 for not meeting the installation deadline.
