Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 19,378-square-foot municipal facility.

This project consists of the complete demolition and renovation of the 9th floor of the Central Court Tower for the Maricopa County Superior Court. The design includes four criminal courtrooms and four judicial suites, each with open offices for support staff, as well as new public restrooms, a new lobby, and supporting utility spaces. All mechanical distribution systems and controls will be upgraded, along with all fire alarm devices and controls. The electrical design will include lighting and power, as well as data and communications systems. Design for specialized court equipment systems will be coordinated with the Maricopa County vendor, who will provide design documents to be incorporated into the design phases for approval. The AW design team will also provide security design, including access control, detention hardware, and camera systems. The new design will be fully compliant with current building codes.
