Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Castro Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Estimated Cost: $4,150,000. Scope: The project consists of providing traffic control; furnishing and implementing water pollution control plans; removing concrete; saw-cutting; removing and disposing existing asphalt concrete surface within saw-cut limit; constructing Portland cement concrete driveways, walkways, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and curb ramps; installing permeable pavers; relocating roadside signs and posts; constructing storm drain structures; installing reinforced concrete pipe; modifying existing drain inlets; furnishing and compacting asphalt concrete; cold planing existing asphalt concrete; applying slurry seal resurfacing; constructing bioretention areas; modifying traffic signals; installing thermoplastic traffic striping and markings; adjusting various utility facilities to new grade; filing corner records; and the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation, and services necessary to be done in order to perform a complete said project. ALLOTTED TIME FOR COMPLETION: 100 working days. LICENSE REQUIREMENT: The Contractor must have a Class A license to submit a bid, as provided in Business & Professions Code section 7028.15. Licensing must be maintained throughout the Contract duration. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: To be qualified to bid or to be listed in a bid proposal, all contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Alameda County strongly encourages the participation of disadvantaged/minority/women owned businesses in public works projects and the hiring of apprentices who reside within the County. For information about the Alameda County Contractor Technical Assistance Program (CTAP), email: CTAP@imwis.com. WAGES: The Contractor and all subcontractors must pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to all workers. Copies of the required prevailing rates are on file at the Agency location where bids are due. Include a bidder's security equal to at least 10 percent of the bid.
