Expansion of the current LET. TIMELINE: Contract for consulting services for an impact study and environmental assessment has been awarded. Reference number : 1827351. The engineered landfill (LET) operated by the City of Sept-Îles will reach its full landfill capacity by 2027. Based on previous studies, the successful bidder must carry out: - The overall design plan for the expansion of the LET (total of 20 cells), establishing the technical bases and allowing the City to obtain the required authorizations; The estimate and schedule of the various phases of construction and operation of the new cells; - The detailed construction plans and specifications for phase 1 of the LET expansion, which results from the overall concept. This phase 1 includes 4 cells, a network transporting the leachate to the basins as well as a rainwater network; - Services during the call for tenders for the construction of phase 1 of the LET expansion; - The environmental impact study including in particular characterization studies of the natural environment and the sector under study; - Services during the BAPE; - The request for ministerial authorization for the construction, operation and closure of the LET expansion; - Any document, any necessary study, in addition to supporting and answering questions from government authorities. Mandate deadline The mandate is made up of several components and each must be completed, that is to say, have received provisional acceptance from the City, at the latest: - August 30, 2024 for the preparatory study report ; - February 19, 2025 for preliminary engineering (overall concept, engineering report, plans and specifications); - March 5, 2025 for the environmental impact study report ; - November 28, 2025 for ministerial authorization ; - March 20, 2026 for detailed engineering (overall concept, engineering report, plans and specifications).
