This is to clarify a minor discrepancy between Sections 33 1413 and 33 1417 of the Project Specifications regarding tracer wire splicing for the Burr Oak Regional Water District – Morgan County Waterline Expansion. Tracer wire splicing is to be completed utilizing Copperhead Industries “SnakeBite” 90-degree twist-lock Connector, or Engineer Approved Equal. Bid time and date remain unchanged. The current negotiated goals for construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contracts to WBEs. The project includes installation of approximately 100,000 feet of PVC and HDPE waterline ranging in size from 2" through 6"including valves, hydrants, service lines, meter pits, and other miscellaneous appurtenances. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $3,700,000. Bidders are required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid Price or certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid amount to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract, if awarded the project.
