Site work for a water / sewer project in Millfield, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This is to clarify a minor discrepancy between Sections 33 1413 and 33 1417 of the Project Specifications regarding tracer wire splicing for the Burr Oak Regional Water District – Morgan County Waterline Expansion. Tracer wire splicing is to be completed utilizing Copperhead Industries “SnakeBite” 90-degree twist-lock Connector, or Engineer Approved Equal. Bid time and date remain unchanged. The current negotiated goals for construction related activities are 1.3% of all contracts to MBEs and 1.0% of all contracts to WBEs. The project includes installation of approximately 100,000 feet of PVC and HDPE waterline ranging in size from 2" through 6"including valves, hydrants, service lines, meter pits, and other miscellaneous appurtenances. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $3,700,000. Bidders are required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid Price or certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid amount to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract, if awarded the project. The Project is Being Funded With Monies Made Available by The clean Water or Drinking Water State Revolving fund and Such Law Contains Provisions Commonly Known as use of American Iron and Steel" That Requires All of the Iron and Steel products Used in the Project to Be Produced in the United States. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or age. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project shall to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Athens County as determined by the Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Determinations. Comply with the Davis-Bacon Act. Successful bidder will need to provide a Unique Entity Identifier(UEI) before award of contract. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission.
