Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.

No definite date for the rebid.** Consists of installation of a new 12" diameter PVC - C900 water main in trench, in casing that is jacked and bored, including all reconnections, resilient wedge gate valves in vaults, fire hydrants, water services, lining of sewer using CIPP methods, all restoration including curb and gutter, sidewalk, patterned sidewalk, driveways, roadway pavement, planter boxes, and any other items that would make for a complete restored improvement of the area. The Village of Evergreen Park has purchased materials for this project and has them stored. A list of the quantities of these materials and the location of storage for inspection is included in the bidding document. All work will be in conformance with the "Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois" dated 2020 and the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", dated January 1, 2022. Proposal forms are non-transferable. Only those Proposals that have been obtained from, and with the approval of, Novotny Engineering will be accepted at the bid opening. Only qualified Contractors who have demonstrated that they have performed satisfactorily on projects of similar nature will be entitled to receive a Proposal document. Contractors who have not previously demonstrated their ability to perform this type of work with the Engineer shall submit a "Statement of Experience" consisting of a list of previous projects of similar nature for evaluation by the Engineer in order to receive a Proposal document. The Owner reserves the right to issue a Proposal document only to those Contractors deemed qualified. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond on the form provided in the bid document for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, or as provided in the applicable sections of the "Standard Specifications". No Bid may be withdrawn after opening of Proposals without the consent of the Owner for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of opening of Bids. The Contractor will be required to furnish a labor and material "Performance Bond" in the full amount of the Contract. The Contractor will be required to pay Prevailing Wages in accordance with all applicable laws. All Materials supplied for this project shall be made in the United States. If any person contemplating submitting a bid on this project is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Drawings, Specifications, or other sections of the Contract Documents, he may submit to the Owner a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the Contract Documents, including the Contract Drawings, will be made only by addendum duly issued or delivered by the Owner to each person receiving a set of such documents. The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the Contract Documents, including the Contract Drawing. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive technicalities, and to accept the Proposal deemed to be most favorable to the Owner. Est. Completion Date: Sept. 6, 2024
