SFU has eight faculties, delivers almost 150 programs to over 35,000 students and boasts more than 130,000 alumni in 130 countries around the world. 1 This specification prescribes the minimum requirements for the modernization of the following elevators in the buildings known as West Mall Centre, McTaggart-Cowan Hall, Lorne Davies Complex, located at 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC. .1 Two (2) hydraulic passenger elevators at West Mall Centre. 2 One (1) hydraulic service elevator at West Mall Centre. .3 One (1) hydraulic passenger elevator at McTaggart-Cowan Hall. .4 One (1) hydraulic passenger elevator at Lorne Davies Complex. .2 All required equipment and labour shall be supplied to obtain the end result as described in this specification. The contract is to be for a complete and finished job. Where singular items are specified, as many such items as are appropriate shall be supplied. .3 All dimensions on drawings, specifications, manuals, equipment labels, etc. shall be in metric (SI) units and imperial units. 4 The work covered by these specifications includes for modernization of the elevators and alternate prices for various items as specified herein. Guaranteed Maintenance and Interim Maintenance shall be included in the base scope of work. By submitting a Proposal for the modernization work covered by these specifications, all Bids acknowledge that the existing maintenance contract in place will be suspended.
