Preference will be given to the firms with management, manpower, expertise, and who are closely located to the project site. The proposed project manager(s) and superintendent(s) must have experience on projects of similar nature, size, and scope to the George Mason Elementary School Modernization Project. The qualifications of other key personnel will be factored in the evaluation of the firm submission. ACPS is seeking submissions from qualified construction management firms to participate in a team as part of this construction manager at risk contract with the goal of providing an innovative, energy efficient, high-quality and quick-paced swing space elementary school through a renovation of an office building recently acquired by ACPS. The school should be developed in alignment with ACPS' Comprehensive Space and Site Program/Educational Specification as adopted by and Long Range Educational Facilities Plan, and in promotion of 21st Century Learning. The failing conditions of existing elementary schools, overcrowding and educational inadequacy of several elementary schools have led to an aggressive elementary school modernization program for ACPS. This project will ultimately serve as an elementary school for approximately 650 pre-k through fifth grade students. The proposed project manager(s) and superintendent(s) shall have seven (7) years of experience working on projects of similar nature, size, and scope to the George Mason Elementary School Modernization Project. Provide 5-7 fact sheets on projects of similar scope, size and complexity. Preferably, these projects were completed within the past five (5) years for K-12 public educational systems in the Commonwealth of Virginia, State of Maryland and District of Columbia. Projects listed to highlight your firm qualification must meet the following minimum requirements.
