Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of approximately 1,900 linear feet of stream channel and tributaries; as well as the dredging of a stormwater management pond at the downstream limits of the project. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County. This project is in the Franconia District within the Dogue Creek Watershed. The Dogue Creek Tributary at Greendale Golf Course Stream Restoration (DC9214) & WP0213 Dredging project will provide stable self-maintaining stream channels that reduce streambank erosion, improve water quality, and reconnect stream channels to adjacent floodplain and riparian areas through the rehabilitation of approximately 1,900 linear feet of stream channels and tributaries, utilizing Natural Channel Design techniques; as well as the dredging of a stormwater management pond at the downstream limits of the project. All work is to be performed while the Greendale Golf Course remains open and operational throughout construction.
