Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Calgary, Alberta. Design plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Scope A: Water Treatment Plant: Alternatives evaluation for treatment processes and conceptual design of a new water treatment plant; and Scope B: Raw Water Intake: Alternatives evaluation and conceptual design of a new and/or upgraded raw water intake(s). The location to which the project pertains is as follows: A. For the new water treatment plant - Bearspaw Dam Road NW, adjacent to existing Bearspaw Water Treatment Plant at 10100 Bearspaw Dam Road NW. B. For the new and/or upgraded raw water intake - location options are to be determined as part of the Phase 1 Requirements. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from engineering consultants has been awarded. Associated Engineering Ltd. will be working on Scope A; while Stantec Consulting will be completing Scope B. Phases 1 & 2 (alternatives evaluation & conceptual design) are to be completed by December, 2025. Construction and commissioning is currently planned for 2035. *Construction cost to be confirmed. Total estimated budget for consulting for Phases 1 and 2 (evaluation and conceptual design) is $1.5 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
