All bids shall be submitted in triplicate in an opaque sealed envelope, marked with the Project title, name, and address of the bidder, and accompanied by the other required documents. The Contract provides for the construction of water main installation, including necessary fittings, accessories, pressure connections, appurtenances, testing and disinfection, and connections along rights-of-ways of Edgewood Lane, Midmeadow Lane, Orchard Lane and Rosemary Lane in the City of Festus. Work shall be in accordance with the provided Specifications, General Conditions, and Plan Drawings. Where not specifically covered by the Specifications, General Condition, or Plan Drawings, the Contractor shall adhere to the currently effective 2024 Edition of the "Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction," and the current effective "MoDOT Standard Plans for Highway Construction." The Contractor shall complete all of the work by a completion date of 180 days from the contract agreement and execution. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on any public works project must provide a minimum 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. A cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 10% shall be submitted with each proposal. A certificate of insurance shall be submitted with each proposal All bids shall be made on the forms and documents provided. Three (3) copies of the bid must be submitted, one (1) being original inked.
