The Burrillville Housing Authority (BHA) is inviting all interested parties to submit a proposal for replacement of cracked and damaged shake, power washing and staining the cedar shake on all buildings at Ashton Court. Use of any other form will be reason for disqualification of the bid. The Burrillville Housing Authority (BHA) is inviting all interested parties to submit a proposal for replacement of cracked and damaged shake, power washing and staining the cedar shake on all buildings at Ashton Court. This authority is comprised of seventy-six (76) units of elderly public housing as well as a community center and Management Office. The proposal shall include all cedar shake surfaces on the ten (10) buildings. Surface Preparation: Water Blasting NACE Standard RP-01-72
Apply cleaning solution to cedar shakes with pump sprayer that consists of 4 parts water and 1 part bleach then, Removal of oil grease dirt, loose rust, loose mill scale, and loose paint by water at pressure of 2,000 to 2,500 psi at a flow of 4 to 14 gallons per minute.
Coating: Sherwin Williams Super Deck Oil-Based Semi-Transparent Wood Stain (550 VOC) Color - DB 2200 Cedar (One Coat)
All proposals must be in compliance with the Mandatory Contract Provisions. The BHA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all qualified sources or to cancel in part or in its entirety, the Request for Proposals, if it is in the best interest of the Housing Authority to do so.
