Reference Number 0000266951 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/04/09 11:59:00 PM EDT York's Building & Fire Code Compliance, Community Safety Department, intends to select qualified service provider(s) to provide technical services on integrate fire alarm & mass notification, proprietary fire alarm monitoring, fire sprinkler, fire standpipe, fire pump, and special fire suppression systems in buildings at the Keele Campus, 4700 Keele Street, Toronto; the Glendon Campus, 2275 Bayview Avenue, Toronto; Markham Centre Campus, 1 University Boulevard, Markham. York Staff has the first right to check, inspect, test, and maintain fire protection equipment including fire alarm and integrated mass notification systems. Scope of Work York requires technical services on integrated fire alarm & mass notification, fire sprinkler, fire standpipe, fire pump, and special fire suppression systems. York operates a mix of fire alarm panels made by Notifier, Edwards, Siemens, SimplexGrinnell, and Unelco. The fire protection systems are made by (but not limited to) Grinnell, Viking, Victaulic, Chemetron, and Pyrene. The integrated fire alarm & mass notification systems include head-end equipment made by Commend system manufacturer. Selected Proponent(s) must be an authorized service provider representing a specific original equipment manufacturer under the warranty and services agreements. Proponents must be authorized to diagnose, update, and program the firmware and software of a proprietary fire alarm & mass notification panel. York reserves the right to call in a service contractor who is qualified and specialized in repairing, testing, and servicing a proprietary fire protection and fire alarm & mass notification system for compliance with the Ontario Fire Code.
