It is the intent of the Owner to take advantage of their tax-exempt status as a Minnesota Public Corporation to exclude state sales tax from material only bids and contracts. Refer to Section 002900 Work Scopes for bid division descriptions of bid packages that are material only and are not to include state sales tax. All material and labor or labor only bid packages shall include state sales tax. By their signature on the Bid, the bidder warrants and guarantees that they have included in the bid the amount of all Excise and Use Taxes which they are liable to pay under laws of the State of Minnesota for materials and equipment required to complete the Work. Each successful prime contract bidder shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract Each successful prime contract bidder shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract if contract exceeds $175,000. Surety must be authorized to do business in State of Minnesota. The Owners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or parts of bids, and to waive informalities therein. For the purposes of determining the lowest responsible bidder(s) in the consideration of all bids submitted, the Owners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all alternates, in any order or combination, which appear on the Bid Proposal Form and as it may consider in the best interests of the Owners.
