The work for the project consists of repairs to deteriorated concrete and masonry materials at girders, soffits, and supporting structures of bridges throughout Napa County No bid will be considered unless it is made on a blank form furnished by the County Engineer of Napa County and is made in accordance with the provisions of the proposal requirements and conditions set forth under the Standard Specifications of the State of California Department of Transportation, except as modified in the above referred to Special Provisions. Engineer's Estimate for Base Bid: $450,000. A bid guarantee, in the amount of 10% of the total bid, shall accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids are required for the entire work called for by the Plans and Specifications, and neither partial nor contingent bids will be considered. In conformance with Public Contract Code Section 20129, bids must be valid for 60 days from the date bids are opened. A mandatory bidder's list is required to participate in bidding as the prime contractor for this project. The deadline to submit an entry for the list, which will be placed on the County website, is April 5, 2024, 1:00 P.M. Project Signs: Provide a project job sign, maximum 30 square feet in size, of wood painted with lettering by a professional sign painter. The content of the sign will be as determined by the County. Obtain approval for location of the sign from the County before installing. Remove the sign on completion of the Work and dispose of legally off the site. Allow no other signs to be displayed.
