Deadline to submit Questions via Online Portal Estimated Contract Value: $522,000.00 The primary improvements under this project consist of installing five (5) 48-inch, five (5) 60-inch diameter manholes, upsizing approximately 710 linear feet (LF) of existing sanitary sewer from 12 to 15-inch diameter, 12 LF of 12" new sewer, 89 LF of 8" new sewer and 441 LF of existing 10" sewer full length lining repairs to alleviate hydraulic surcharges in the existing sewer systems. The work also consists of the maintenance and protection of traffic and public by furnishing, erecting, placing appropriate traffic control signs and devices during hours of construction around the construction areas and within the limits of construction as indicated on the bid plans and documents. A certified check payable to the Butler Area Sewer Authority or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. All bidders shall comply with the Federal requirements for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P.L. 88-352); and with the State requirements for The Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act (No. 1978-3) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, as amended. Work under the aforementioned Contract is subject to the requirements and of the "Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act" (1961 August 15, PL 987;P.S.165) and subsequent amendments and the Public Works Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012) and subsequent amendments.
