A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Village of Monroe, Nebraska invites qualified engineering firms to submit statements of qualifications for the Wastewater Treatment Improvement Project. Specifically the project will consist of the following improvements: Design, bidding and construction phase services for a two celled lagoon system with land application on adjacent farmland, lagoon earthwork, lagoon piping, dike stabilization, construction of a new main lift station with standby generation and force main, air relief valves, fencing, pumping structures, irrigation system, electrical service and the abandonment of the existing wastewater treatment plant and existing lift station. Qualifications will be reviewed by the Village Board, and final selection of the engineering firm will occur at the May Village Board meeting.
