Due to aging infrastructure, the Village of Harrison Hot Springs (Village) is proposing to make upgrades to lift station #1. 1 Work specified in this Section includes the new diesel engine-driven generator, complete with auxiliary equipment for use as an emergency and standby source of power. 2 The equipment manufacturer(s) and the authorized supplier shall have complete responsibility for the performance of the engine-generator set and its accessories. Set shall be new, unused, latest production model, factory assembled and tested prior to delivery to job site. .3 Provide all necessary controls and accessories to make a complete operating system. 4 Generator set consists of: a) Diesel engine b) Alternator c) Alternator control panel d) Battery charger and battery e) Exhaust system c/w silencer f) Structural steel mounting base g) Integral fuel tank h) Outdoor weather proof and sound attenuated enclosure i) Remote-mounted automatic transfer switch .5 Set designed to operate unattended in an exterior location The Work includes, but is not limited to, supply, delivery, installation, provision of all labour, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary for upgrade work. a) Survey, layout, site management and safety, as well as quality control testing and measures needed to demonstrate the work is constructed to meet the standards and layout of the design drawings and project documents and specifications. b) Complete bypass pumping from the upstream manhole to the downstream bypass assembly as this is a critical live facility. c) For detailed electrical scope of work, refer to 2. Scope of work in Appendix C Upgrade Electrical Specifications. .1 The Contractor shall supply all wiring and equipment necessary to complete properly operating systems as specified herein and as shown on the drawings, unless otherwise indicated.
