Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
The location of the school is 23 N. Ashland Street in Worcester. 2. The asbestos being removed is in the Boiler Room on the ground floor. 3. All bidders MUST BE CERTIFIED to perform asbestos abatement by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. a. In accordance with that certification, removal will include proper protection of the surface areas (for example the floors) inside and between the boiler room to a dumpster in the rear of the school building. b. The attached Engineering drawing shows not only the points of demarcation for the various asbestos covered piping being removed, but the narrative "Removal Keyed Notes" on that drawing also explains the items to be removed. c. That dumpster shall be provided by the supplier who is awarded the bid. d. Included in the deliverable will be the demolition and removal of the Main Boiler e. After removal of the items, the boiler room, the pathway from the boiler room across the floor and outside to the dumpster must be thoroughly cleaned of all residues. f. Any permitting required shall be done by the winning bidder. All questions must be referred in writing to Stephen R. McDonald via e-mail at mcdonalds@worcesterma.gov.
