Public Works Facility Repairs GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required for the performance of all rehabilitation as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. Garage Doors and Personnel Door (1) The demolition, removal and disposal of all items to be replaced (2) Demolition of the Knee wall. (damaged) North door (3) Furnish and install new block. (4) Reinstall existing veneer on North door (5) Cut and repair steel reinforced frame. (6) Furnish and install replacement of existing Personnel Door, frame and all related appurtenances. (7) Furnish and complete painting of the doors and frames. (manager to pick color) (8) Furnish and install (2) 14'x 14' Cloplay model 3717 sectional Garage doors or Equal. (9) Furnish and install new track 25,000 cycle springs, standard lift radius, complete weather striping and top struts. (10) Furnish and install (2) lift master T-75% horse power operators or Equal. (11) Electrical to include wiring, wall switches, photo eyes, radio controls, and interior 3 button controls. (12) Furnish and install any and all concrete work. (13) All other related and required work and appurtenances. LOCATION OF THE WORK All work under this contract will be performed at the Public Works Facilities, located in the City of Clairton, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The City is located along the bank of the Monongahela River approximately 15 miles southeast of the downtown area of the City of Pittsburgh. BID BOND PERFORMANCE BOND In addition to any other Warranties or Guarantees specified elsewhere in these Contract Documents, the Contractor shall after all Contract Work is completed, approved and accepted, the Contractor present and eighteen (18) month Maintenance Bond in the name of the City of Clairton in an equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the final contract payment price. BID COMPARSION The Owner reserves the right to compare bids individually or based upon any combination of Bid Items. The Owner reserves the right to delete ANY Bid Items, in ANY given order and to recompare the bids on the basis of the Total Adjusted Price. The award, if made, will be for one single contract for this project.
