Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in De Soto, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of May 03,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. City of De Soto is seeking bids for asphalt paving at the Athletic Complex off Vineland School Road. The scope of work includes construction of a 7,729 square foot (24' wide) asphalt drive that extends from the Athletic Complex entrance and connects to the existing asphalt roadway that was recently constructed. Construction of 23 parking stalls (4,600 square feet) shall be included as a bid addition. New asphalt pavement section shall be 4-inches of BP-2 asphaltic concrete surface course complying with Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction. The new pavement shall be placed on 8-inches of 1" minus crushed stone compacted to 95% of maximum dry density as determined by ASTM D698 (Standard Proctor). Utilizing the existing aggregate base is acceptable. Contractor to confirm thickness of base rock and ensure compaction. Any areas of soft subgrade shall be repaired. All paving work shall comply with the latest edition of Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction. Pavement striping shall be 4-inches in width, color selected by Owner. Striping shall be applied in two coats. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities when it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City and to reject any or all bids
