Site work for a road / highway in Millersburg, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Highways and roads are an important part of public assets, allowing movement between communities. The roads infrastructure requires a proper procurement process. The research shows that prices presented in public bids are lower than those expected by contracting authorities. Public owners are restricted to the public bidding procedures, especially the provision to use low bid price in the Public Procurement Act. Questions regarding plans and specifications should be addressed in writing to Christopher R. Young at email: cryoung@holmesengineer.org. Bidders must be currently pre-qualified with and in good standing with ODOT. The bidder must possess work types and perform work equal to at least 30% of the total amount of the submitted bid price. All bids must include a bid guaranty, as described in the Instructions to bidders. davis-bacon wage rates apply. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. The date of commencement of the Work shall be the date that written Notice to Proceed is issued by the Owner, through the Design Professional, to the Contractor. If no Notice to Proceed is issued, then the date for commencement shall be the Effective Date of the Agreement. The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the Project, all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Design Professional. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the General Conditions, within 120 calendar days of the Date of Commencement ("Date of Substantial Completion"). The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined the General Conditions, within 15 calendar days of achieving Substantial Completion ("Date of Final Completion"). The total estimated construction cost for the base bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $301,301.60.
