The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement of Project Management Services for an Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation. Offerors must familiarize themselves with all documents contained herein; it is mandatory that all submitted offers be in compliance with all the provisions contained in the Request for Proposal. Offerors should promptly notify the Buyer of any ambiguity, inconsistency, error, or missing attachments which they may discover upon examination of the RFP. Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) is planning to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) to replace current ERP solution. The current system used by APS is the INFOR Lawson system. This project is expected to be two to three years in length and begins after the contract negotiations with new ERP vendor are complete this spring. This ERP implementation will include all three primary core modules of Accounting and Budget: Payroll and Human Resources; and Supply Chain. The successful project manager will work in tandem with the new ERP system implementer project manager and APS internal project manager to lead a successful project. The successful project manager will work to insure the quality and the timeliness of the project. In summary, the successful project manager will be looking out for interests of APS. A project manager for an ERP project should have strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and expertise in project management methodologies. Additionally, knowledge of ERP systems, effective communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial. Familiarity with K-12 organizations will be vital. It's essential to adapt to changing requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
