Town of Chesapeake Beach Refuse Collection Services The Town of Chesapeake Beach is a coastal community, of approximately 6,500 residents and is 2.71 square miles. The Town provides public spaces, that include; a ballfield for baseball, softball, football and lacrosse within our Kellam's recreational complex; a veteran's park overlooking the Bay; a playground and a Bayfront Park with beach access. The Town also owns and operates a Water Park, the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. The Town is made up primarily of owner-occupied residential dwellings. Most of the residents in Town live within a Homeowners Association with several large neighborhoods within Town, with the largest being Richfield Station, Bayview Hills and Chesapeake Village. Homes that are not within a Homeowners Association are typically in areas with alley access that requires caution and care while servicing residents. The Trash contract is a vital service to the residents of Chesapeake Beach and one of the Town's greatest annual expenditures making consistent reliable service is a requirement and necessity. The Town is continually focused on ways to reduce waste and encourage recycling and places importance on continuing to provide these services to residents. The Town of Chesapeake Beach, MD seeks proposals for refuse collection in a Town of approximately 6,500 residents. Contract Duration: Three (3) years with two (2) one (1) year options to renew. A bid security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the bid amount in the form of a bid bond, bank draft, bank cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Town of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland shall accompany this bid. The Town reserves the right to waive formalities or technicalities in bids as the interests of the Town may require. BID WITHDRAWALS: Prior to the time of opening, bids may be withdrawn only upon written request received from Bidder.
