A temporary water main bypass shall also be provided. The Newport News Waterworks (Waterworks), a department of the City of Newport News, owns and operates water treatment plants and distribution facilities, including the exposed pipe crossing at Site No. 5 located at Beach Road over Long Creek in Hampton, VA 23664. The protective coating and pipe supports are showing signs of deterioration, and the water main is undersized for future needs. This solicitation is for removing and replacing the exposed pipe and supports and installing appurtenances and pipe insulation. This is vital to improving customers' water service.
