Site work for a water / sewer project in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the extension of existing watermain and sanitary sewer infrastructure to service existing and future commercial development. The extents are along 1st Ave W from the existing hospital to Highway 4. Approximately 320m of 50mm DR11 HDPE pressure sewer will be directionally drilled in the north ditch and tie onto the existing sanitary sewer main. A pressure sewer flush out is designed where the main terminates. Three sewer service connections will be installed from the main to the curb stops; these will be installed in a separate trench from the water services. Approximately 270m of 250mm PVC watermain will be installed, along with associated valves in the south ditch and tie onto the existing 250mm water main. Four hydrants will be installed over the 180m. Three water service connections will be installed from the main to the curb stops; these will be installed in a separate trench from the pressure sewer service.
