Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project aims to address the thermal comfort and indoor air quality related issues in the buildings at 2301 Midland Ave. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, air handling units, laboratory general exhaust system, humidification, perimeter heating control valves, office air handling unit conversion from constant air volume to variable air volume (VAV), including office zone VAV air terminals, reheat coils, venturi air valves, dampers, conversion of pneumatic devices to electric, building automation control system, etc. There are two (2) buildings onsite connected by a covered link: 1) Main Building and 2) CCB. Construction is expected to take place throughout both buildings (penthouse, labs, offices, etc.) under a phased implementation strategy that may require multiple crews working in different parts of the building at the same time. The building will be occupied and operational during construction. Some experiments run 24-hours and into the weekend. After-hours and weekend work will be required to ensure minimal to no disruptions to the experiments.
