Questions Deadline: 4/10/2024 05:00 PM (CT) The City of Ames is accepting bids from qualified vendors to provide labor, equipment, materials, and other components necessary for on-site services as follows for the Ames Electric Services Power Plant, 200 East Fifth Street, Ames, Iowa: --Removal, repair, and reinstallation of insulation of the types used in the Ames Power Plant. --Installation of new insulation systems on pipes, ducts, equipment, vessels, boilers, and accessories. --Repair and replace existing lagging systems. --Installation of new lagging systems where new or modified insulation systems are installed. --Repair and replacement of existing jacketing systems and new jacketing systems. --Firestopping insulation. --Sound attenuation insulation. This contract DOES NOT include asbestos abatement. The contract is renewable for up to four (4) additional one-year terms. All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
