The Town of Fort Erie is inviting tenders for the Gibson Center Expansion Project, located at 1818 Pettit Road, Fort Erie, ON L2A 5M4. The John L. Gibson Centre, a public works facility constructed in 1993, currently hosts the Town's public works operations, including roads and drainage services, water/wastewater services, parks and cemetery services, and fleet services. The building contains administrative offices, staff facilities, vehicle storage and repair areas, and general storage space. The space is conditioned by five rooftop HVAC units and gas-fired unit heaters. The scope of the project includes the construction of a new two-story office building connected to the existing office building at 591 m2 per floor and an expanded vehicle bay at 491 m2 for a total estimated constructed area of 1,673 m2 or 18,008 square feet. The new office building will feature standard offices, workstations, meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, a server room, and administrative storage space. Additionally, the project includes comprehensive site enhancements to address site servicing, stormwater management, grading, parking needs (both existing and new), landscaping adjustments, and ensuring public access.
