Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as "Redstone Hill Road Water Main Replacement Project - Contract No. 2". The work consists of replacing approximately 5,250 linear feet of 6- and 8-inch asbestos cement water main with new 8-inch PVC water main in Redstone Hill Road. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer via the Tighe & Bond website.
