Contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to provide aquarium maintenance service for Carpinteria State Beach Tide Pool Exhibit (approx. 500 gallons), located in the Visitor Center. Maintenance of the tide pool requires the service of a qualified contactor for the maintenance of the health of the tice pool water quality and animals living in this environment (animals to be provided by the State). Any proposed changes to this scope of work shall be approved in advance by the states representative. Maintenance visits shall consist of a routine water change, necessary testing of water parameters and cleaning of the aquarium, tide pool life support system and holding tank system. Integration of new species from holding tank into display pool as species are ready. Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Aquarium Maintenance services as described herein: Contractor to maintain the approximately 500 gallon aquarium at Carpinteria State Beach Visitor Center. Service includes routine best practices to maintain the health of the tide pool water quality and animals living in this environment. Contractor shall comply with all applicable safety regulations and complete work to the satisfaction of the Department of Parks and Recreation Staff. START DATE
April 1, 2024 or upon DPR approval, whichever is later. The State of California acknowledges the service and sacrifice of its disabled veterans, in part, through the "Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Program." As mandated bylaw, state agencies have a goal to award at least 3% of their annual contract dollars to certifiedDVBE's. THROUGH END DATE
