This Invitation for Bids ("IFB") is issued by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets ("AGM" or "the Department") to invite qualified bidders ("Bidders" or "Respondents") to submit proposals for the design, production, delivery, and, if requested, installation and/or removal of signage for the annual Great New York State Fair ("State Fair"). The objective of this IFB is to retain a Contractor to design, produce/manufacture, deliver, and, if requested, install and/or remove signage for the annual State Fair. The mission of the State Fair is to hold an exposition (currently 13 days) ending on Labor Day each year identifying, promoting and showcasing the agricultural practices, history and traditions of the State. In addition to agricultural competitions, the State Fair also features a 15-acre Midway and free music venues that host multiple national and regional acts each day with the largest accommodating over 30,000 people. Additionally, there are approximately 600 vendors, including 200 food vendors. The State Fair attracted over 932,000 visitors in 2023, and in 2019, experienced a record crowd of over 1.32 million people. The 2024 State Fair will be thirteen (13) days and will commence on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 and end on Monday, September 2, 2024. The number of days of the State Fair is subject to change during the Term of the Agreement at the Department's discretion. The property is a 375-acre site owned and operated by AGM which is home to the annual State Fair. TERM The contract resulting from this IFB will commence on June 1, 2024 and end on March 31, 2027.
