Refuse collection & Recycling services for Humboldt Redwoods State Park Description: The Department of Parks and Recreation, North Coast Redwoods District, is seeking qualified bids from contractors to provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform refuse disposal services, as described in Exhibit A, Attachment 1, Refuse Disposal Service Specifications, necessary to pick-up, transport, recycle, and dispose of refuse from multiple locations within Humboldt Redwoods State Park and Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park. All work to be done by the contractor, subcontracting is not permitted under the terms of this agreement. Contractor must hold all necessary permits to pick up, haul, and dispose of refuse in Humboldt County. Withdrawal of Bids: Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the hour fixed on the Invitation for Bids, provided a written request for withdrawal is submitted by the bidder or his/her authorized representative and filed at the place shown on the Invitation for Bids. No bid may be withdrawn after the time fixed for the opening of bids. Rejection of Bids: Bids may be rejected if they show any alteration of form, additions not called for, conditioned bids, incomplete bids, or irregularities of any kind. Only those bids which cover all the work called for, and meet all requirements specified will be considered. The State reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Contract Award: The contract award, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder who complies with all the requirements specified in the bid solicitation documents, which include, among others, the Invitation for Bids, Instructions to Bidders for Refuse Disposal Service, Specifications, Bid Form, and when applicable, Additional Instructions to Bidders, and the DVBE Compliance Certification and Documentation.
