The work consists of milling and paving of 2" top course on the following roads: COBBLESTONE LN, HIDDEN GLEN LANE, HASKEL AVE, TWIN LAKES RD, SHUART RD, AND ECHO RIDGE RD as described within the bid documents. The unit costs within this bid may also be used elsewhere in the Village for the 2024-2025 Village fiscal year for possible future projects. All technical requirements and specifications are described within the Contract Documents and Plans. Bidders on the Contract are encouraged to inspect the existing conditions and proposed improvements prior to submitting the sealed proposal in accordance with this Advertisement for Bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to the Village of Airmont as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor, Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The Village of Airmont, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner. Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The Village of Airmont hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
