Kirby Bridge Compression Joints Project. This project encompasses the replacement of the armored joint along Kirby Avenue bridge at both the beginning and end approach slabs. Work includes sawcutting 184 linear feet of existing concrete, laying 1 cubic yard of PCC Foundation, installing 41.76 cubic feet of bridge joint headers, and placing 254 pounds of reinforcement bars. The project also involves fitting 92 linear feet of bridge joint seal and removing 3.09 cubic yards of structural concrete. Additional tasks include managing work zone traffic and conducting survey operations. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid sub- mitted. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. The project shall be substantially complete by Friday, May 31st, 2024. Final payment shall be processed on or before Friday, June 7th, 2024. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, for failure to timely attain a Milestone, Substantial Completion, or completion of the Work in readiness for final payment, are set forth in the Agreement Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.
